"In “V’Ger’s Dream” Michael Droske sings in the voice of the modified deep space probe V’Ger, expressing the long-lost explorer’s longing for connection to the Creator. V’Ger, you will remember, is actually a Voyager space probe, launched from Earth more than 300 years before the events of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Charged with knowing all that was knowable, the little craft caught its big break when it slipped through a worm hole and was modified by a race of intelligent machines. In this laid-back, plaintive, Beach Boysesque song, V’Ger wonders "why you don’t write” as the “days go passing by like dust floating on the solar wind”."
